Rotary New Year’s Resolutions
Happy New Year – in Rotary, of course we are half way through our year.
- Have you made any New Year’s Resolutions? Perhaps I can help and it does not require dieting or getting on a treadmill. Here are three ideas:
- Ask a friend, neighbor, or co-worker to a club meeting. It is amazing how many people want to know more about Rotary but were never asked.
- Decide to take more of an active role in your club – attend more meetings, join a committee, or join or volunteer at the District Level.
- Challenge yourself to attend a Rotary District Conference – this year Tri-Con in the Dells https://tricon2018.eventgrid.com/Page/31081/registrations
Here are some ways you can get active right now - Please reply to me (not Reply All) if you are interested:
Our District is looking for a Club Strategic Plan Lead. This person would be available to help clubs go through a strategic plan. There is training and a lot of clubs have interest in being helped. This person should be able to travel throughout the District. There is a budget for this program. The typical strategic planning session with a club is a couple of hours of prep and about 4 hours for the actual facilitation. We have several members throughout the District trained to lead the facilitation, we just need a leader of the facilitators.
Want to work or help at Tri-Con? - We need Volunteers to help at the Registration Desk – you would be working as a team with members of the other two districts – short, easy shifts throughout the conference.
Here is a great assignment for newer member or a young professional. We are looking for 2-3 Speaker Aids for Tri-Con. These Rotarians are aids for our key note speakers – they would get to interact with the speakers and make sure they are on-time for their talk, have what they need etc. This is an excellent job for someone wanting to meet some of our super speakers.
Thanks everyone – District Membership continues the up-swing! Way to go Clubs.
Thanks for your time and your service in Rotary.
